My name is Kahuna Keonaona. I have been doing professional Tarot Readings for fifteen years and teaching others the mysteries of the Tarot for the last ten years.

For as long as I can remember I’ve been interested in the mystical arts. I bought my first Tarot deck 30 years ago and over the years acquired many books on the Tarot. Like many people, reading books did not help me master the Cards or gain any insights or understanding of the Tarot. But I was still fascinated.

It wasn’t until about 15 years ago, when Kahuna Lani initiated me into the secrets of the Kalo (Tarot) through his intensive personal Tarot training program, that I really began to master the Cards and how to use them.

I learned that it is important to have an accurate understanding of each card. I also learned that it is important to understand the correct use of the spreads. The challenge is learning how to turn the meanings of the cards into a message.

The Secret to Finding the Hidden Message

This is the art of the Tarot - interpreting or transliterating the cards as they appear in the spread into a clear and meaningful message that you can understand.

And this is what was the missing from other Tarot systems I had seen.

Like me, you also may have noticed that having multiple complex definitions for each of several cards in a spread doesn’t seem to help. They can actually confuse the situation. It’s like looking at a blank piece of paper – where do you start?

Also, many Tarot Systems suggest you use your intuition to understand the cards. The problem with this approach is you will likely project your own misunderstandings about the situation into the reading.

Trying to get insight when considering a serious life issue can be risky if the message of the cards is unclear. What if you could get your message in one or two clear sentences every time?

This is where my experience and tradition will help you.  Our tradition, which spans many decades, provides a way to learn the meanings of the cards and to see their clear and coherent messages in a reading. You cannot find this methodology on the Internet or in books. You can only learn this by direct transmission from a Tarot teacher.

How to understand the “intended” meaning of a Kalo Reading in a clear succinct message

The language of the Kalo is very specific. Once you have mastered the basics deeper understandings will come to you. That is how our tradition has grown. As you participate in these time honored practices, you will come to understand the hidden meanings of each card.

ACTUAL EXAMPLE FROM A KALO READING

The Kalo Reader interpreted these five Cards to mean:

“Your efforts are marked by periods of blocks and success.

Reach back for the skills you need to break through your blocks.”

In this reading, two sentences were needed to shed light on the situation. Of course, once you have the clear message, you can expand on that based on the full meaning and understanding of each card.

How much time do you think it will take to learn Tarot?

There seems to be a myth circulating on the Internet that you can learn the Tarot with just a couple of hours of study.
